ABOUT DAVID

Talk Is Cheap is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on building character, establishing confidence and instilling hope in the lives of young people everywhere.

David Kohout has dedicated more than three decades to leadership training and personal development. With a professional background in sales and sales management, his early work focused on the business world. However, over the past 19+ years through his organization, Talk Is Cheap, Inc., David has expanded his mission—speaking to audiences of all ages and leaving a lasting impression on hundreds and hundreds of thousands of students, educators, and academic leaders.

Believing that today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders, David is passionate about building strong boys and girls—so we don’t have to rebuild men and women. His powerful message has been shared at respected institutions such as West Point Military Academy, Westminster College, Youngstown State University, the University of Toledo, Wooster College, the Coast Guard Academy, and many others. He has visited hundreds of school districts across the United States and spoken internationally, connecting with diverse communities through his engaging and heartfelt presentations.

David’s ultimate goal is for every audience member to walk away not only inspired, but equipped—with a renewed sense of purpose, a deeper understanding of their worth, and the tools to pursue their full potential with confidence.
